Sorry to hear your news - I know first hand, as I am 35 years old and have terminal advanced breast cancer is my liver, bones and lungs - however, that was a year ago and although they say TERMINAL - how long is a piece of string - they say I am fitter now than 12 months ago and take chemo daily - get all the facts on board - and live life normally and to the full. I do it costs me a fortune!! but it is fun. Also, is she is having any side effects from treatment I am on ESSIAC - herbal remedy from Canada (not on NHS) and my side effects have decreased by 90% and my tumours by 27%. I get mine from https://www.utopiavalley.co.uk and I have not found it any cheaper.

Good luck - stay strong - as she will be no doubt!!! Full support and lots of cuddles, laughter and fun.

Same here - bones and liver. Nine months after diagnosis I'm still working and still partying at the weekends! There are some very effective treatments out there and ladies with secondary breast cancer can sometimes live for years.

I think that the wedding in August could be a blessing, it will give her something to look forward to.

I'm not clear if this is a new primary cancer or if it is secondary spread from the breast cancer, but if it's breast then I recommend this forum: http://www.phpbbserver.com/breastcancer/index.php?mforum=breastcancer

Sadly it's the second time I've posted this in as many days :(

A good friend of mine is going through Chemo for a different cancer, the doctors she has seen have said that if pushed they will give an approx time limit of life expectancy but it doesn't work that way, its when the time is right for you to go, not been given x number of weeks to live which can turn into years, the doctors have seen this many a time. I have been told in the past that many brain tumors are curable so keep positive for you and your mum and I hope all goes well for you all.

Firstly, hugs to you and your friend and her mum.

Here's another possibly useful site: http://www.braintumouruk.org.uk/

There are lots of different kinds of brain tumour, so it really does depend if it's a secondary or an unrelated, and if the latter, then what kind it is! Many of us have tumours which don't cause any problem at all, and are only found 'incidentally' as it were.

    HI
Hugs to Nic_santorini and filigree - great to hear that you are both partying hard. The treatment of cancer is coming on inleaps and bound all the time.

You 2 do sound upbeat and should be an inspiration.
