New combi boiler - problems

It's not my boiler; it's a rented property. I wanted to see if there was anything I was doing wrong before getting the letting agent involved (I'd like to keep them sweet until I get the deposit for my old place back).DirectDebacle wrote: »As its a brand new boiler why aren't you having the installation checked under the warranty?0 -
In that case the sooner it is brought to the landlords attention the better. LL having spent good money on a new boiler will want to know asap if there are any problems. Also you don't want to be messing about with it too much in case they try to blame any fault on your actions and say the warranty has been invalidated.
I don't see why the return of your deposit from a previous property should be affected by problems in a different one, unless you feel the letting agency is untrustworthy.0 -
To be fair, since opening the stopcock fully I haven't had any issues with the water going cold mid-shower. The lengthy time to get hot water in the first place and the kitchen taps losing pressure over time is still an issue though.DirectDebacle wrote: »In that case the sooner it is brought to the landlords attention the better. I certainly do feel that.DirectDebacle wrote: »I don't see why the return of your deposit from a previous property should be affected by problems in a different one, unless you feel the letting agency is untrustworthy.0 -

I certainly do feel that.
Quite often a combi boiler has a comort mode which keeps the system at the boiler hot ready to go, this will use extra gas to do though.
The pipes between the boiler and tap will still be cold though0
