Can I cancel a credit card transaction?

I earlier bought a playstation game via the playstation store using my credit card.

Unfortunately, it would appear my 12GB PS3 is unable to download the game as it doesn't have the storage space. I only had 1 game stored on it and even after deleting that and some of the iplayer stuff it still says not enough memory.

I've therefore paid £48 for something that I cannot download.

  • Not really. You could ask the Playstation Store (although that is probably quite hard with such a huge faceless company) but they would be perfectly within their rights to say no and point you towards the games specs. I assume the download size was listed somewhere?

I might be wrong but unfortunately I don't think you have any legal or contractual right to a refund.

    In one word, NO.

It's neither the seller's, nor the CC's fault.

thanks for the replies, hopefully there's some kind of memory device that I can buy for a tenner or less that I can plug into the PS3?

Go to Settings, System Settings and System Information, then it should say at the bottom something like: 30GB / 50GB. What are these numbers on your system?

It's another £30 odd, but you can get one of these:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250GB-EXTERNAL-2-5-BLACK-ULTRA-SLIM-POCKET-HARD-DRIVE-BRAND-NEW-POWERED-BY-USB-/330673104372

It's a USB hard drive you just plug into your PS3. You can use it for saving games, videos, music, etc from your PS3 just keep it connected to the console 24/7.

thank you both, I've switched the bloody thing off now but will definitely look into getting one of those cards.

I wish I'd never bought the flaming game!

I would expect more like £30 than £10, as you need to purchase a new drive if yours isn't big enough. The best way would be to just replace the internal drive, or you can just add a USB drive.

Search PS3 HDD Drive Swap in google.

Arrggggggggg I today bought a USB thing called a Sony 550 gb HD-EG5

After much pratting around with it my PS3 finally recognised it after I first FAT32'd it, or whatever it was called on my laptop.

We despite it recognising it when I go back into playstation store and click download it still says "There is not enough free space on the system storage":mad::mad::mad::mad:

I spent 48 quid on this bloody thing, how can I get it to work, so £96 quid spent in 2 days and nothing to show for it.

I wasted 4 hrs pratting around with it! ' even tried going online to download game staright to memory stick but still no joy.

Can't add to the matter but your signature is brilliant. Might have to steal it and add lose/loose and advise/advice.
