Midsummer NSDness - the June NSD Challenge

12 luvverly NSDs now festering away in the Cauldron of Doom - it's amazing how a bit of sloggus officialis can leave you with no time to go spending!

Spent a few quid at the coooop today - special offer of 2 x 400gm packs British strawberries for £2, so that was a strawberry cream sponge for afternoon tea, strawberries and cream for dessert after the Sunday roast, a few strawberries in DS school lunchbag and plenty left over to snack on. As well as a strawberry and banana smoothie.

(No, Igor, we did not say the 21st. That was Summer Solstice. Our Midsummer do is on Midsummer Day, or rather it starts tonight and winds up sometime tomorrow. Now I do hope the Good Ole Boys remember the way to Ennessdee Towers, they should be here by now, surely.....and did Spoon say she found Hubert lurking in the Cauldron of Doom? Let's have a look.....get out of there, Hubert, that's for the NSD collection. The bathroom's thataway......now who's that knocking on the door? Don't tell me the gang is arriving already, I haven't done my nails yet......and give the chilli another stir, Igor, before it clots......)

Pass some of that peapod champers, my throat feels like something's crawled in it and died.....serve me right for tasting Igor's chilli this early in the evening......Igor, the band's here, help them set up, will you? And make sure they have somewhere to change for their drag cabaret act....and keep Hubert away from their costumes, you know what he's like with stilettos....

There's alcohol.....and there's Igor's version of alcohol, for those who run out of paint stripper......

Go on, Igor, ask the band to play their last hit record...you know, The Donkey Stomp Hoedown...always gets them on the floor, that song.....

Careful with the booze, Dragon, Spoon has only recently repainted the Tardis...and the Good Ole Boys have decided to use it as their changing room....what's Hubert doing, coming out of there with a set of black suspenders over his ears? Has he been at the turnip whisky again????

Thankfully I realised it was pilchard and not strawberry in time - i was going to have a lime one, but it appears Igor has made it with limestone not citrus fruit :eek:
