Kerri can’t believe you are giving up without arefund for that expensive fence stuff, but look forward to hearing what theysay about your dribbler ! daubed one on for NSD2 though :j:j

I'm not so much as giving up on the paint (and I DID get 20% when I initally bought it :money:) if I find it cheaper elsewhere very soon I will be able to swap it out but not holding out much hope - on the upside, it does look very smart on the fence :D

NSD 3 today! Yay! Getting the hang of this! I did go to the post office but it was eBay items which were all paid for by the buyers! I presume that means it doesn't count as a spend?

I don't count eBay postage as a spend as the buyer has given you the money for it. You're doing really well this month, keep it up :T

Well I thought it was NSD 2 today, but I've obviously missed a day somewhere as it's the 3rd of June and NSD #3 :j

Busy day at work but quite rewarding today, finished off a bit more of the fence before running out of paint (at least the trellis is done, save for perhaps a couple of touch up bits) and we should get the rest done tomorrow.

Gorgeous weather today, I've even painted my toenails with a mind of releasing my feet on some unsuspecting folk this week

  • Hi All,

Bit late joining in this month what with the house move - hopefully won't have to do that again, think I'm getting too old for all this furniture shifting business (and it's cost a fortune in extra food to replace all that lost energy :rotfl:).

Please sign me up for 18 NSDs this month.

Sadly none so far, but will be on the hunt tomorrow!

Training for next year. I plan to leave home around the start of the 2nd week of September, travel by more 'normal' modes of transport to the French side of the French/Spanish border, and then (before travelling home by more 'normal' methods) spend some time doing a little walk into and across Spain.... the basic route (to Santiago) is 500 miles in 5 weeks, the normal extended one (to Santiago and then on to the coast and back to Santiago) is 625 miles in 6 weeks. I'm planning on venturing off the beaten path a few times and spending 8 weeks away from home while I cover up to 800 miles. If I allow 2 days for travelling there/home that means 800 miles in 54 days, which is an average of 14.8 miles a day carrying eveything I need on my back  (Stay in hostels so no tent or cooking equipment.)

Managed the walk today, and did indeed spend while out! One item I wanted was cheaper on Amaz0n than in the store, but they do a price match/beat which includes against the website - so I got it for £2.10 cheaper than ordering on-line (a 10% saving against on-line and £8.09/29.97% off the store shelf price). I also got a few bits I'd only gone to look at - two were on offers that don't have long left to run (which made it worth getting them today), and the others were just 'cos they had options I liked (bright pink lightweight fleece jacket anyone? or a bright pink backpack?)

Wow Cw that is some trip you have planned, sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing that with us. You'll have no trouble with the distance if you can keep up training like this, 54 days out of a backpack defo out of my comfort zone though...I'd need to be booked into a hotel every night, but hostel sounds a pretty good option- can see how you are motivated now.

P.s pink jacket & back pack so we can spot you easily? :-)

Don't really need them for that..... most of my sports tops are bright pink (and those that aren't are black with bright pink on them), and I always wear a bright pink and white baseball cap :p

Even my walking socks all seem to have bright pink in them to some degree :D

And I also picked up a not-so-bright pink waterproof jacket today - a lighterweight / more compact when packed one than the two bright pink ones I already own. Anyone would think I like pink, but I don't :rotfl: My sports gear is the ONLY stuff I intentionally buy in that colour, and I avoid it whenever possible for everything else in my life !!

(I also have bright pink running shoes I use for the gym!)
