Mis-sold contract on Orange
Comments
-
sounds like the third party was trying to give you new contract rather than add an existing line. did you make it clear to them you already had a contract and wanted an extra line not new contract ?
they will always try to sell a new contract as they get more money that way.
you could try going to orange direct0 -
Orange themselves told me that I could have an additional line. So with that in mind I tried to have a new line set up with a third party.
I did tell the third party that I already have another line and they took all my details to ensure me that it would go through. Which... it didn't.
Does anybody know which credit agency Orange use i.e. Call Credit, Experian or Equifax? So I can keep an eye out on my report.0 -
I had a similar situation with T-Mobile. Girlfriends' contract in my name had come to an end but there was no decent deals/phones to upgrade to, T-Mob tried to talk me into a contract with a Motorola but I said no and asked for my PAC. They countered this by moving me onto a cheaper SIMO deal that I could cancel whenever I wished. Of course you know what is coming.
2 weeks later I ordered a new deal via a re-seller, phoned T-MOB to cancel to be told that I was in a 12 month contract. Argued the toss with the person on the line who was useful and requested a call back from a manager.
2 hours later got the call from the manager, explained the situation and he agreed with me that I was not in a new contract as no paperwork had ever been sent out and he cancelled the contract there and then.0
