Banks with manned 24/7 CS

Options
Which banks (which are protected by FSCS) have a 24/7 customer service line which is also manned by real people not just self service?

I'm sure NatWest do at the moment. HSBC used to a few years ago but for quite a while they've only been open until either 10 or 11pm now.

Santander close at 11pm, I'm sure Barclays close late at night too. Halifax I think close at 11?

I want to join a bank that has people I can talk to if I ever have any serious issues such as fraud/locked out of my account and so on.

I understand that not all departments will be open of course as most do run normal office hours, but sometimes a 'general' line is kept open 24/7 in the case of NatWest.... and hopefully a few others?
I have worked at HSBC Bank in various departments both customer facing and process-related for six years. However, any advice given is my own.

Natwest and RBS certainly do, and they're UK based which is good IMO.

smile.co.uk (part of the Co-operative bank) as well as the Co-op Bank itself

Nationwide Building Society but as has been said the only one I know of that puts you straight through without any automation whatsoever is First Direct.

They could be a shift worker as I used to be, they may come home late or odd time of the day and need to sort something out before they get some kip.

I gather most of you just work 9-5 Mon-Fri?

Do we really need 24 x 7 for everything?

I prefer a bank that pays me half decent interest for my deposits with them, rather than paying some people for staying awake all night just in case someone wants to ring them when the vast majority of the account holders are asleep.
