How Do I Keep My Mobile Number Between Service Providers?
1. Ring up your SP and ask for a PAC (Port Authorisation Code)
2. Ring up your new SP and give them this pac
3. The 2 service providers will agree on a date for the Number migration
4. Within 2 Weeks your number will be transferred
WARNING!!! - this method will lose you your cashback on a contract with cashback if you are porting over to O2 or Vodafone. For these two networks, you must give the RETAILER your PAC code at the point of ordering - if the retailer doesn't offer a porting facility then you can consider any O2/Vodafone deals that they offer not valid for port-ins.(thanks reesit Mutton!)

TBH...A comprehensive FAQ for mobile phones would be so large and (in places) complex, it would be worthy of a website all of its own.

Watch this space. The MNP guide is next!
Dialaphone has no such issue with this. When you port your number over you do however need to let them know straight away so that the number on the paperwork sent in with the claim matches that on their systems.
I port my number over each year with DAP, have always complied with this request and have not had an issue with ported numbers.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0
