OP, if the company owner is making threats, take it to your local police station as making threats is a criminal offence in this country.

And, once again, a poster accuses someone who leaves negative feedback of a company as being
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

a disgruntled former employee with a grudge, the owner/manager of a rival company, a former matrimonial partner of the company chairman with an axe to grind..........

my sincerest apologies, I was under the misapprehension that this was a forum to inform and protect consumers.

I had no idea that only positive feedback was allowed as obviously negative feedback must have come from a disgruntled employee, or someone with a grudge. Its a good job Martin Lewis isn't so narrow minded or we wouldn't have this site to help us now would we?

A further update.......after my original post .........and very shortly after Melbells post (coincidence??) I received an email from Mr Swinco threatening me unless I removed my post on MSE.....Buy from this company or not, its up to you - I was merely trying to inform people of my experience.

I have not ACCUSED you of being anything at all - I have merely pointed out that we have no way of knowing if you indeed are merely a disgruntled customer or someone with a particular agenda. I gave examples of how you could be connected with Swinco.

But you have no posting history here (on MSE) - you have posted only 4 times!

And you're STILL implying Melbell is somehow connected with Swinco!

So we have to believe you but not Melbell? Based on what?

100% of orders with items missing

The customer is in Swincos eyes constantly clamiming. If this was amazon her account would be closed and sent on her way.

    She screams of scammer.

    Valli.......you said
"So we have to believe you but not Melbell? Based on what"

Well here are a couple of examples as to why I am dubious as to Melbells integrity.......
Apart from the fact that the emails from Mr Swinco and Melbell were only minutes apart (which i cannot prove here but am merely stating as to one of the reasons why I am suspicious!)

The main reason which is clear for all to see.......check out the above email from Melbell......he refers to me as 'she', which I am! - how would anyone know that Kyl is a reference to a female name???? My best friend is also called Kyl......and HE is a HE. At no point on my MSE profile does it mention my gender.....explain that.....

I admit that I am not an avid forum poster.....I joined to find out information, to read other peoples opinions, to learn from others mistakes, but just because I do not post often it does not mean that when I do they should be treated with mistrust and suspicion - we were all newbie posters at some time. Maybe when I post it is because it is something that is relevant to me?
I feel very let down by the forum - I thought I was doing my bit to help prevent others from falling fowl as I did , I was just trying to help......and I have just been treated as a scam artist and a fraud

.......if anyone is interested the total of items not received came to £3:98 a patheticly small amount of money (why on earth would someone try and scam that little amount???) - I would have put it down to a bad experience if he hadn't been so rude and unprofessional in his emails. After those it became a matter of principle that I take it further.

MothballsWallet - thank you for your advice - do not worry, I have a copy of all correspondence, delivery notes etc and if I receive any further threats I shall act accordingly. Thank you

How has Melbell emailed you? Do you mean posted on here?

    That could be pure coincidence.

So rather than dissing Melbell's integrity try to keep to your own experience and what has happened directly to you - then you will come across as a more credible poster. because Melbells integrity, or lack of, is irrelevant to the topic; which is the issue you had.

As for knowing you are female. Well it's either a 50/50 lucky guess or Melbell checked out previous posts you've made on the forum and worked it out from that! Because it's pretty clear to me; I looked too!

Or Melbell (possibly female, I don't know, but I would guess so with that usename) worked out that the Kyla part of your name could imply you're female. And the taff part Welsh (?)

It's all very well pointing out you've had a problem with a company - but to start laying into another poster who suggests that (and not unreasonably) someone who has ordered twice and who claims to have had problems twice might not be the kind of customer a company wants is pointless. It's just Melbell's opinion, just as what I'm posting is mine. So I attemped to point out to you that other people might equally jump to conclusions about you and your reasons for posting. Some posters post no end of garbage and lies, or tell half a story in order to get people on their side!
From time to time we get posters on here who claim they have been blocked from buying from some online reatilers simply because of issues with deliveries. Two that spring to mind, where people have been 'barred' are Amazon and Boots.
Now me, if I had ordered from a company and not got my items I would be more than a little reluctant to try them again.
Rather than attacking Melbell (and, for the record I don't know Melbell) for suggesting that you may not be an ideal customer you could have ignored - but to start suggesting he/she Mr Swinco helps no-one.

As for scamming £3.98 - I've had an e bay buyer try to scam me for less than that. So the amount is irrelevant.

I'm not saying you are wrong or you are lying but this forum is constantly attacked by trolls and spammers. It does tend to make one more than a little cynical.

Anyway if you ARE being threatened by this company I strongly suggest you retain copies of all emails sent as has been suggested.
It might also be an idea to store this thread (I believe you have to 'cache' them; not sure how that works though) just in case the thread is taken down.

  • I have had a terrible time with an order through Swinco.
I ordered last week and still haven't received anything.
I e-mailed Paul Swinco through his website and Google Wallet several times and he only ever half answers e-mails.
My first problem was that even though my order had been processed with Google wallet it wasn't showing up on my customer account with swinco.co.uk so I e-mailed him to ask if he had actually received it.
I got no reply but the next day got an e-mail through swinco's automated system to confirm my order (although it still isn't showing on my customer account)
Then I ordered a "Free delivery" item which I queried as to why I had still been charged postage and packaging and was told it only applied to that item so if you are ordering other items you don't get a discount or reduced P&P so essentially you aren't getting any "deal", which I think is misleading and should be made more clear to customers.
Thirdly it is over a week later and I haven't received my order or shipping information, I had requested tracking information and to know what courier my delivery would be with, but have had no response.
I am now left having to go through the process of filing a claim with my credit card company for goods not received and have also started a case against him with Google Wallet.
My advice- avoid and go with approvedfood. Their customer service is fantastic and they keep you updated every step of the way. I regret ever buying with Swinco
  • Hi --- I thought I would share with you my experience with SWINCO. Up until recently I had only praise for this company which in my experience is often the cheapest of the three short date online food suppliers. I have been a regular customer for some time now and although there have on occasion been small problems with the order, these have always been dealt with and a quick email was all that was necessary. However, on June 22nd I made and paid for an order to the value of just below £29 and to date have received nothing. I have written many emails, phoned the customer line and left text messages, all to no avail. I have noted that the site has been updated with new products since I made my order , so I am assuming that Swinco is still in business. Indeed I hope this is in fact the case, and that it is just a temporary blip. I just wish that someone would reply to me and let me know what is going on. I would hate to see the company go down as it usually provides a very good service. Does anyone know what is happening with the company?

I am also getting a bit worried about an order. I put my first order in two weeks ago, and nothing has turned up (according to the tracking page provided by the delivery company it is STILL sitting in Goole - I live in the Highlands). Since then, I have put in a second order which arrived yesterday - still no sign of the first.
One email was replied to by Paul who said my package was in Glasgow (last week). No emails have been replied to since then.
It looks like I'll have to try and get the money back via Google Wallet if I don't hear something soon.
  • Following calls to Despatch Bay and Yodel I managed to find Swinco's number (a mobile number, don't know how I missed it). Paul answered and was very helpful; it looks like the parcels have been lost by Yodel, and Swinco need to put in a request for them to look for them (as a customer, I can't).
So we'll see what happens. Not Swinco's fault, it appears, so apologies to them for insinuating it was (although I agree with postings above that their email responses are not very good; I've been feeling a bit ignored the past couple of weeks). I'll let the forum know what happens...
