Hi
I've got my internet with BT at the moment, BT infinity.
I've had it a year and my momthly cost is gonna go up as my
While it's nice and quick, I feel that I can really manage with amonths cheap rental runs out this month.
cheaper internet and phone package as I am trying to cut household costs.
I don't mind down-swapping fibre optic to ADSL cos my laptop is pretty powerful so I can download vids quickly, for later, if buffering pi$$es me off and can put up with slower internet etc.
I want to go from "BT infinity" to thier "BT totally unlimited" package.http://www.moneysupermarket.com/bro...ted-broadband-and-evening-weekend-calls-4131/
Many thanks

- I have a few questionss, and would love help please?
- As an existing BT customer, will I get any further reductions from them?
- I assume I don't need a MAC number as I am staying with the same supplier?
- Could I apply online, or, would I have to phone up?
- I've gone via moneysupermarket.com deal, but I dunno what I will get from moneysupermarket.com and would like to know how I will find out what I get from going via them from this page - http://www.moneysupermarket.com/vouchers/deals/6-months-free-on-broadband-evening-and-weekend-calls/207700/
?
Many thanks

No, a MAC is only required when transferring your BB to another provider.
You can't get cashback and similar deals unless you are switching provider. As an existing customer it's up to you to negotiate the deal you want, which should be possible if you are approaching or at the end of your minimum term.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
As macman has said you won't be getting any cashback and if you haven't reached the minimum contract term which sounds the case if you are still on a new user offer price they may refuse to swap to a cheaper product. Was it an 18 month contract?
On the topic of cashback in general...
For things where cashback is possible then using TopCashBack or Quidco is likely to offer more than a comparison site.
The moneysaving way is to use comparison sites to find good deals then use cashback sites to buy.0 -

Have you tried TIMETALK? (it's not talktalk!)
TIMETALK use the BT network, so no real hassles when changing over. They deal with it all, MAC and the lot. Charges £16.31/month, includes:, line rental, unlimited UK cals, free router, free voice mail (answer phone), 20GB download, broadband antivirus etc. as well as keep your email address and tel No,0 -
Ref TIMETALK:
I'm told the price (£16.31) will not alter for the length of the contract, 18 or 24 months; there's currently a choice. :j0 -

I saw the Talk Talk offer on the MSE Weekly E-Mail today. As it ends today, I needed to act quickly. As I am coming to the end of my BT 18 month Contract, I went online to see what offers were available. I was offered 'online chat', which I accepted. I explained that I was thinking of changing to another provider, to cut costs.
I was asked what package I had been offered, which I explained. They said would I let them offer me a deal, based on that package. Eventually they came up with a 12mth Contract for £26.10 p.m., that was unlimited broadband, line rental and evening and weekend calls.
Talk Talk appears to have a bad reputation, which BT were only too happy to point out to me. Has anybody any thoughts or suggestions.MSE Addiction, should come with a health warning:money:0 -
TT have a well earned bad reputation from day one .
But on the other hand a large number of TT users are happy or ignorant of problems .
