And if the account is in the name of my Late Husband who are they sharing the data with? It is highly unlikely he will be applying for credit any time soon.0 -
Sorry, it would probably be wise to change the account over into your name or to close it. As you say, any data recorded in your late husband's name is unlikely to be accessed.

I don't really approve of companies reporting to CRAs. My current account doesn't as of yet so ill keep the phone bill as it is. You are kind of conscripted. You can't opt out of firms doing it.0 -
BT Shows on my Equifax report, and it shows since i took it out in 2010.
A Flock Of Sheep, i don't get what benefits you think you stand to achieve by not changing it in to your name?0 -
Why does it matter as long as you pay your bills in full and on time?0

If you don't agree with companies reporting to CRA's you can opt out by not taking their services.
Always a choice.0 -
I love the expression 'share' when what they mean is 'broadcast' to anyone in the same CRA club.
The nonsense that it has anything to do with credit reporting is long gone - it is the ability to snoop, and as the CRA's refuse to supply this data unless you give them yours in return, it is all very cosy.0 -
Like I said, there's always a choice.0
