OSPS deal .. can someone explain it to me please :)
This is the deal:
http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk/ourdeals.php?PROV=VODA&OFF=VD500B&TAR=CN200C
Normal line rental is £36 per month, 1/2 price for the 1st 3.
So that's
3 months @ £18
9 months @ £36
= £378
But what's this 7 months @ £7.99 lark all about? Has to be cashback so is it:
a) £7.99x7 = £55.93
(£18x3)+(£36x4)=£198
Difference between the 2 is £142.07 so that's the amount you get back.
or
b) £7.99x7 = £55.93
£36x7=£252
Difference between the 2 is £196.07 so that's the amount you get back.
(a) means the total cost is £236
(b) means the total cost is £182
Do I have this right? Can't see anywhere on the website that explains it well...
Cheers,
Adam

Give them a ring.
I've no idea what it is, as you say it's a cashback of some sort, but it's not clear at all.
(and they expect people to read that and say "oh yeah i'll sign up for 12 months")

Just called them
Voda will bill you 3 months at £18 and 9 months at £36
after 6 months you send your bill to OSPS and then refund you some cash You then send in you 9 month bill and they refund you more
The total refund comes to £178-07 he was unsure how this was split but probably 4 and 3
Assuming that they are still in business you end up paying 7 months @£7-99 and 5 months at £36 = £236 for the year if we ignore the 7p
You could of course downgrade after 9 months to a lower tarriff
Not a bad deal for a decent phone and with free bluetoothTANSTAAFL !0
