Another anti-virus question

Good morning,

This morning I got the notification that my Kaspersky is due to be renewed, it came with my new laptop for a tenner and for very little I upgraded to the 2 pc option.

Now looking at the prices direct from the website there are a little high even with the renew discount, but it has to be the best anti-virus I have used, I hardly know its there, unlike others which has really p****d me off with constant scanning and pop ups and the like.

Also:

1) I now note they now offer android phone protection - I have never even thought about this before - is it really needed??

2) Have been doing an awful lot of travelling recently and lugging my laptop around is starting to annoy me (I am also scared that I'll leave it on a train...........again :o) so have been thinking of getting a tablet, so ideally I'd like an anti-virus that can be used on this as well.

Is the Kaspersky Pure 3.0 the best way to go?They are offering a renew rate of £41.99 with free tablet security but I will need to purchase the Android separately (6 quid) but this is for 3 PC's and I only have 2 so seems like a bit of a waste.

Is there something out there that will cover everything I need for less?
Can I get it cheaper else where?

I have had AVG and various "free" ones in the past and they have always let me down, I have also done the Norton, McAfee etc. and not been impressed, the thing I love about Kaspersky is that I hardly know it's there.

Any advice gladly received.

Thanks

Can you get it cheaper? Yes. It's free if you have internet banking through Barclays.

Anything that has access to the internet has a risk of virus infection.

I've bought mine from eBay for a few years with no problems.

Never go via the renewal route, you will pay full retail rate.
Buy 'new' via Amazon and just use the new licence key supplied if you don't want to reinstall.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Look here for an example. If you look around you may find it for less.

NOD has gone down the pan.

Webroot Secure Anywhere is the way forward.

I use avast, dont recal any pop ups. I alo have avast on the N7 even though I dont think its needed, did have it on the android phone but again not sure if its needed so removed it, even had kaspersky installed but got rid of it.
