Why would Apple reject it? Apple needs only the IMEI number or serial number to unlock it. For this purpose, Apple doesn't care what the name of the original customer was.
Because the IMEI has to match with the original owners details who had the phone registered to their account when it was on a contract.
Its part of the agreement Vodafone have with Apple, if the phone was previously on a contract, Apple will only unlock an iphone when the request is made by the original owner.0 -
