Best way to get rid of my car?

If you taking a car to it's MOT, your allowed to drive it on public roads to get there. So surely if your driving a car to be got rid of, you can drive it to get there?! (Don't know, just asking the question!).

No sorry, you can't drive it away to be got rid of without an MOT. It would have to be taken away on a truck.

Just because a car isn't roadworthy, doesn't mean it still doesn't have £100's of value to the right person.

Just be careful you sell it as a "non-runner" and for spares.
If you don't describe it properly you could get into trouble.

Personally I doubt it's worth £100's as there are loads of dead cars around.
I do agree though that you might get more selling it for parts or as a DIY project rather than to a scrapyard.

Assuming that it's just scrap, weigh it in, scrap is about £100 a tonne at the moment, so most cars make just over £100 as scrap.

Advertise it on ebay, AXs are popular among the boy racer/chav community and it will be good for bits for some aspiring young racer....

Ebay it, just say it like it is. You would get some renumeration for it!

It would be worth a lot more if you break it for parts, then sell the parts on ebay.
