I just bought a Vax carpet washer from Asda, £47 (£30 after APG's).
It comes with a small bottle of shampoo, but was wondering if anyone can recommend where to buy this when I run out?

not sure if this is cheap

Don't know if just been given good or bad news :(
Been booked in for a colonoscomy, if that's the word,
    On Tuesday .:(

I had one last year ( all clear) and they give you some sedation and painkillers. I dont remember much about mine but did feel a bit of pain. Worth it to know I just have diverticular disease that is mainly treated by diet. I cant eat strawberries, popcorn, seeds or a lot of meat. Otherwise all good. HTH

As there are a few people who haven't dieted before, I thought I would post a few helpful tips, as it can seem pretty daunting!

    1. Don't call it a diet per se. It's healthy eating. Doesn't seem so scary now does it?

    2. Break your weight loss down into achievable chunks. Aim for 7lbs at a time, all pushing towards your ultimate target weight, but it seems more manageable that way

    3. Treat yourself. When you lose say, half a stone, buy yourself something as a treat. Could be a new lippy, nail varnish, shoes, a new top, anything. And the blokes can treat themselves with blokey things too

    4. Have a bigger treat lined up for when you reach your ultimate target. A weekend away perhaps, or a spa day. And think of all the new clothes you could buy :j

    5. Don't set yourself unachievable targets. Don't say "I'll lose 2-3 lb per week". If you don't, you'll only be disappointed, and much less motivated

    6. Motivation. This comes from within. If your head isn't in the right place, you aren't going to be as successful as you could be. Maybe you have a special event coming up, or want to do it for health reasons. Whatever your motivation is, keep it in mind

    7. Don't let it take over your life. Healthy eating is designed to be built into you life, not the other way round.

    8. Planning is important. Know what you are going to eat on fasting days. Keep in mind that if you crave something on your fast day, you can have it the day after if you want it badly enough.

    9. Try if you can to weigh at the same time, on the same day each week.

    10. Perhaps the most important- you are doing this FOR YOU. you want to make changes to your life long term, and YOU are the only person who can do that!

11, and finally, don't be afraid to ask for help or support if you need it, or to give help and support if others need it. Don't ever feel like you are on your own, because you very much aren't. Remember, there are 30 odd other people on that list too!

Thanks for this going to print it out and keep it with my diary as a motivational tool when things feel tough. Or when I am doing a fasting day at work and there are cakes and doughnuts sitting on the side begging to be eaten :rotfl:

Love hearing back from purpledonkey 'on the ground' as she finds an entire shelf of crackers. I hope she manages to get all of those crackers for the big *cough* meeting we have on Monday.

    :rotfl:

In all seriousness this is gonna be so good for so many people. Grinning from ear to ear and giggling to myself as I shop vicariously through her!
