I had thought that, and took a picture, but on the back of the pot they say write or ring, dont mention email, perhaps technology has not reached wobblyjellyland yet.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Had an email from groupon yesterday saying I should reprint my £5 m and s voucher as there have been problems with some. Didn't have time to do this and tried to redeem it. Staff were very helpful and after about 10 minutes were told they it had expired and I would have to print another. Not very impressed with groupon.
Absolutely freezing in kent today and have had to put heating on to take off the chill. Don't you just love it when you lose a coupon. I couldn't find my 10p petrol coupon tonight which expires at midnight. Looked everywhere - it so annoys me. I'm sure I put it in a safe place (lol). Had a lovely cream tea in Dobbies today bogof with my family. Also had vouchers for free tea/coffee which made it even cheaper.0 -
hi everyone. hope you've all had a good day. took my boys to a farm today, part of Open Farm Sunday, they were more interested in the play bits:cool:, walking round the animals asking can we go in the play area now. was a bit annoying as normally they love going round farms or walking in the woods0

One of my courgettes I have in the greenhouse had a lovely flower open yesterday morning. Apparently you can stuff the flowers with ricotta or something and then fry them, never tried though.
Have planted up all my tomato plants and cues now, this year I'm growing my favourite Alicante, Belle (beefsteak), Gourmet and an authentic Italian Variety - I can't remember the name but it seems to be doing well :rotfl:. Last year I sowed over 100 seeds and they all blooming germinated! I was run ragged potting them all up, my mum shoved the surplus outside her house and the mums on the way to school were very grateful for free plants. Cut right back this year as we hope to get away camping for a few long weekends and it's not fair to expect DD2 to do all the watering, though she munches her away through a couple of mini cues a day! The only plant I bought and didn't grow from seed was a Jamie Oliver pepper plant from Homebase reduced from £7 to £1 as it needed a tidy up and a water. Have moved it to a larger pot and it's thriving.
Meant to say before, the Saturday before bank hols I went to our local Homebase to buy some compost. There was a lovely young lad there who was putting split bags of compost and farmyard manure into big clear bags. Me being nosey asked what he was doing with them, he said he was reducing them and if I was interested I could have them all for £1 each. I bought the lot, there was 7 of them. Enough to fill all my tubs with new compost and more to put round my runners. Good stuff too like the Miracle Grow one with water retaining crystals. As it was the 15% off weekend I got them for 85p each! Sweet as :T. Might be worth checking with your local Homebases to see if they do the same

Wow. What a charming courgette plant. Well done you. I tried growing them a few years ago, but all I go was flowers and that was it so do not bother with them anymore.
If you google recipes by Jamie Oliver, he did a lovely salad with the flowers and he stuffed them in one recipe too. It looked rather special and very appealing actually.
Back to work tomorrow. Boohoo! The weather seems to be going downhill too.0 -
