Thanks, FC. I have edited to reflect your wishes. Reading back it did seem better for the masses. :D

I very rarely edit my posts as I like to speak from the heart so-to-speak.

PS - I prefer a capital N at the start and only three dots for an ellipses before your 'as if'. ;)

    Noted. :):D:)

I just thought I'd weigh in as its still being talked about.

SB I was a bit put out by your post as I was only trying to be helpful by drawing attention to something in grabbit and it sort of felt like you were making fun of me.

Um....that's the end of it really. I'm aware of your condition and was aware of it when I read what you posted. Can't really change the way it made me feel but it's all water under the bridge now (for me anyway).

It's a shame but you're right in that this thread isn't the place for that kind of debate. I too, SB, have looked deep into the self-confidence / arrogance debate. It can take you to places you never knew existed. Unfortunately, I always seem to arrive at a very simple lesson that I've learnt. It's almost like a Newtonian law or something along the lines of:

It is OK to show people that you are everything in life, and brag about everything you have achieved, just not intelligence.

People will thank you for pointing out their shoelace is undone - they won't for you pointing out their spelling, punctuation, grammar, mathematical error etc.

Anyway, I'm stopping now before I go too deep! :rotfl:

    Morning everyone.

Dr V, how you today ?

Just so you know, HC has autism, and we used to rag him left right and centre, he took it like a man :D

He also realised that he over stepped the mark on a few occasions, and we all understood his condition, and ragged him down anyway.

( Hi HC if your reading :D)

A good sense of humour goes along way :D:rotfl::D

SB is without doubt, one of the most helpful posters on this thread, and as such, should be immune to the occasional backlash.

I personally have had several backlashes here, water off a rhino's back.

Sometimes we have to think before we speak, all I can say is, thank f..k for the delete button.

Dr V, think you posted the article in the telegraph motoring section.

Thanks for that, going to look at a 1.6 petrol, fingers crossed.

Haven't been glitch shopping for 3 weeks
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

It's water for all I'm sure, EMMAP but that doesn't mean it's not worth discussion to aid future misunderstandings. :D

As for what you've wrote: In essence what happened is that SB wrote something you didn't like. It upset you. You knew why, as you know his condition, yet rather than making the coat comment with emoticons as in a joke, it came across as posting about your upset.

SB didn't know he'd upset you - you, by your own admission, did know you'd upset him (as it was clear as day to anyone that knows about AS that he'd be upset by people not thinking well of him). Everything else after that is irrelevant.

I get annoyed and upset by poor punctuation and grammar, but I would only ever pull people if a) they asked for it - literally, or b) in a joking manner. But that's because I know the rules. As, I'm sure, do you. SB doesn't - or at least he's still learning! ]

I really hope my post helps, as that's the intention. Maybe we should get Savvy to draw a chart (I'm currently doing one with DS2!)
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.
