I would be asking the school just how summer classes are going to improve upon what he's already achieved.fairclaire wrote: »Can you ask whoever you spoke to at school if they have room to use discretion with regards to the school policy? And is it just a school policy or a wider policy within your local education authority. It does seem a bit off to make him attend classes he clearly doesn't need. Well done to him for keeping up so well.
I think I would be finding if this is actually a requirement or if they're just being jobs worth about it.
thanks to both of you i said i would discuss it with my oh and get back to them, as i was unsure what to say wish i had thought to ask how it would help and was it a requirement but i always feel like a little kid in the heads office and never know what to say:rotfl:
i am proud of him for doing so well0 -

found out why the school wanted to see me about ds3 they say he argued with the year head he says he had a healthy debate.
quite amusing really, but i have to decide wether to back him or the school, as he has low attendance due to his alder hey appointments and being ill they want him to attend extra classes in the summer their argument was it is school policy for all with low attendance to catch up with their work, sounds ok but
his argument everyday he is of he copies up any work before the next lesson does any homework, so is never behind, is in the top set for every lesson has never had below 87 % in an exam his report for may nothing below a - and he got a certificate today for the maths comp that all welsh kids did as he is in the top 100 for the entire wales for maths. and if that did not work he then said it is against his human rights to punish him for having an illness:rotfl:
his argument was more convincing than the schools but not sure what to do..
(I don't of course know him, so this is based on my own experiences!) I would think that a polite and respectful, but questioning, approach from you to the school is key here.I am not young enough to know everything.0 -

They have paid 38p on the receipt... it only states cheese and the barcode is 5000 2951 4513*.
Please tell me I'm not getting excited over nothing can anyone please scan it instore and tell us?
Forgot to mention this comparison is against t'sLearn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
