Boom! That threw me completely then as I always click the top thread in expired and found myself lost - who is posting in other expired threads just to confuse us? Anyway, now the ELITE should be back at the top and I am back in familiar territory

Hope everyones had a lovely day, I've got a bit of catching up to do from lunchtime.
Had a nice day here, met a friend of Martins who I was suprised to see wasn't dressed as a womble
Back to work for me on Sunday eveningI'm looking forward to going back in a way as I miss all my workmates but I've had so much fun on here since I joined I've decided I need a much better (and well paid) job
if only there was a job that included wombling and glitches.... :rotfl:

LED is the latest kit, then LCD, Plasma the oldest. LED is also lighter/thinner, use less electricity (IIRC) and "in theory" latest spec picture ... but I sometimes find it hard to tell the difference anyway as it depends on brand etc.
Personally, price has a major influence on my choice and I recently got an LED and LCD from our friends at Mr T when they had the big reductions

Good evening everyone:).
For Northern Ireland readers (and others too, for a reminder of what this is all about, as I am soon to post another post referring back to this):
Extract from my previous post (no 1698):
"...Noticed how in general, even when different stores have different pack sizes to each other, or even the same sizes, they are nearly always the very same price per unit?? I don't feel it's price-fixing, but instead stores watch very very closely the prices of their rivals and very often use those to help determine their own price. Equally, if a competitor increases their price, it often seems a signal to everyone else to do so likewise.
There's no point in being more cheap than your competitors than necessary. So, for example, I noticed a disparity in the prices of petrol at A and S nearby to me. I noticed that S were nearly a penny cheaper per litre than A. S are usually xxx.9p/litre and A are xxx.7p/litre. But even where "xxx" are the same for both stores, S can work out slightly cheaper, in effect, if you collect Nectar points. Except that, last week, S nearby were 128.9p/L whilst A were 129.7p/L. With Nectar collection, it would effectively be another penny a litre off the price.
But... that was no good, no good to be cheaper than A and then Nectar points making it slightly even cheaper. I noticed how, very soon, S price has now risen to £129.9/L (A still £129.7p/L) - whilst S still work out cheaper with Nectar points, no use thinking my "double points on fuel" coupon was effectively worth anything. If it's used now, it's the same as single points on the new price... ."0 -

Depending on what size you want, it is worth double checking in Mr Ts as they seemed to have some more RTC in our local store on Wednesday. I'm afraid what I posted above was the depth of my knowledge. Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, LG and Toshiba are good brands, Technika can be okay, it all depends on budget/size/features you are looking for really.
