Hi All,
We are due to exchange contract next week, either tue or weds. We are in a chain, (first time buyers buying the property below us, we are buying a property from people that are moving to a new build)
Is it possible to complete on friday? We are having a mortgage with nationwide, the people buying ours are C&G, people that are buying theres is halifax.
We are all hoping and ready to complete on friday (31st) but i guess what i want to know is it realistically achievable?? I dont want to get my hopes up to be very disappointed!!
Thank you!!

We are exchanging on Tuesday and completing on Friday. It is do-able but our solicitor has already requested the funds from Nationwide last week.0

Thanks for the reply and good luck with fri!! Our solicitor obviously hasnt requested the funds neither would the other solicitors, I guess thats why i am a little sceptical that it is actually possible.
I have mailed her to plead that she does everything in her power to make fri happen! would you know what the latest time she could request the funds? Also does it differ between lenders?0 -
It's do-able, but it's quite risky. If something were to fall through somewhere in the chain before exchange, and you've already committed to something (like removal company), you might find yourself liable for an expense you weren't planning for.0
