money saving mobile phones
Hi
I have a '3' contract for a mobile phone. Is there anyway that I can change my contract to make it cheaper? I'm half way through a 2 year contract and I'm about to have a massive reduction of income so can't really afford to continue?!
Any help gratefully received!

No way. If you can't afford it, sell the phone and use the money to pay for the contract.0

Have you tried talking them. No company wants a non-paying customer. If I was them I would allow companies to extend the term to reduce billing amount.
Chances are it will fall on deaf ears tho0 -
I used to have a contract with Vodafone, they let me reduce the tarriff from £35 to £15 a month after the first year. It's worth phoning and asking0

You can talk to 3UK, but the answer is no. As Grumbler notes, the commitment is fixed - perversely, I wanted to upgrade my contract to a biggest package and the wouldn't let me!
If your finances are not assured, a contract is a millstone you do not need.0 -

that is no longer possible with vodafone.
one of the problems is that the handset prices have increased so the tarrifs have gone up to cover this cost. It is also why most contracts are now 24months instead of 180
