Orange (EE) - iPhone Contract - Suspending - Armed Forces
Hi,
I'm currently in Afghanistan for six months with the Army. I have a monthly iPhone contract.
I understand that Orange will allow a six-month suspension of contract. I didn't implement the suspension whilst in the UK because I didn't know when my two week 'R and R' (half term holiday for want of a better word) would be.
I have now found out that it will be towards the end of my tour, hence it would make sense to suspend the contract now.
Does anyone know the customer service number so I can phone them from Afghanistan to get the suspension implemented.
Many thanks,

Hi mate. Hope the tour's going ok?
Contacting Orange is now done through their new company which is called EE.
You can normally contact them by dialling 150 from your handset but there's a number listed on their website which is 0800 956 6000.
If you're still in diffs come back to this thread and I'll do what I can to help. In the meantime keep the old head down.0 -
Orange is one of the few networks that allows you to call its customer services free of charge while roaming in EEA countries. I don't know whether the same applies outside the EEA, such as in Afghanistan, and it would be hard to be sure until you get the bill.
Otherwise, if you have access to Skype, phone Orange on +44 800 80 10 80 for free via Skype.0 -
150 is a free call from an Orange phone anywhere in the world.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0
