cost of a taxi in London?

Kings cross is about a 20 min walk away, is the next stop on the northern line (about 5 min journey) or about 5-10 mins on the bus: #73, 476, 205 & 214 I can definately remember those being direct buses

Well, being unable to second guess which of the 30 odd train stations, 6 airports and 100 odd tube stations in London, I had to guess that you were thinking about the nearest?? Anyway, Angel is one stop from Kings X, so still makes sense. Next time i'll presume she's going from Inverness.

Your daughter and her friends should be perfectly safe catching the tube or the bus. The public transport in London is so easy to use and there'll be loads of people around. They should use get oyster cards though cause I think the cash fares are double oyster fares.
