Hi, just been told by bt that i will be losing sky sports 1&2 from june as i am not in an infinity area. They are offering free bt sports pack plus free broardband for 6 months. As i only got sky sports for the cricket this is of no interest to me.
Are they possibly in breach of contract?
They do seem very keen for me to sign up and accept there ' compensation package'

They just want to retain you as a customer.0 -
Is Sky Sports delivered over the internet with BT Vision, I thought it was delivered via the freeview platform (Channels 41 and 42)?
Maybe OP can get Sky Sports via Now TV?That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
It's currently being delivered OTA on Freeview however it is moving to being delivered over the internet connection.0

Have they not offered you these two channels over their up-coming internet apps? ie PC or tablet? Or over ADSL (copper)?0 -

Why no?
They are withdrawing a channel which the op can no longer get because bt's own infrastructure doesn't support the platform they are moving it to.
I'd say there's a case here...0 -

^^What he said.
Its in the T&C's because BT Vision's line-up of content changes all the time.0 -
ALL channels are subject to availability. Not only that, not a single channel is explicitly mentioned in the contract of service - so how could there be any breach?
They may offer a goodwill cancellation (as VM did when Sky 1 went) but they are not obliged to.0
