hello all,
I currently have a vacum cleaner on its way out. I currently have a bagless Russell Hobbs, and I have had noithing but problems with it, so i want shot of it, and get a good one. I have stairs in my home, and I have a pet cat. I dont want to buy baggs, so bagless please. I have some vouchers for amazon and argos, but prepared to buy anywhere, so long as it is a good price and is a reasonable quality, built to last.
the best machine cleaner i ever bought was a miele, but they are so pricey these days.
any help/suggestions????

When my Dyson expired I bought a Panasonic UL592 for £134. Had it for a year and it is as good as the Dyson. Comes with a six year guarantee.
Just checked the Panasonic store and it has dropped to £109.99. (still with the long guarantee).Forgotten but not gone.0 -
Interestingly we have moved back to bags and have a Sebo for upstairs (carpets) and a Henry downstairs (wooden floor).
Bags are a bit of a pain but I think on balance they just work out slightly better for us.
Oh the Henry has a re-usable bag with a zip (but it would be poor on carpets if you have pets).0 -
I know you don't want bags but you DO have a cat.
I'd highly recommend the Miele cat and dog, approx £130 and incredible!0 -

Can't stand the cloud of dust you get when emptying a Dyson, had one for a few years.
Then I bought a proper vacuum cleaner. Go Miele Cat and Dog!
OK the bags are expensive but have a large capacity so don't need changing that often,
Only downside is that mine is built like a Tiger Tank and is a bit heavy.
PS Would not give any Dyson product houseroom, a man who can sell £300 fan heaters is beyond contempt. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Our Bissell Clearview Compact that we bought for <£40 is the best cleaner both me and OH (and the girls!!) have ever used!!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0

how about this .... http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/home-appliances/vacuum-cleaners/upright-vacuum-cleaners/vax-power-8-pet-u89-p8-p-bagless-vacuum-cleaner-silver-red-16424053-pdt.html
I have a vax and its brilliant a poor mans dyson perhaps but to spend £250 on a hoover seems absurd to me and it is supposed to be a money saving site0 -
Had a Vax, very noisy but did work well. Bissell are sturdy built and quieter. Always thought about a Miele but couldn't find a good deal at the time. Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

I have a morphy Richards vorticity. It's efficient, well made. I paid £70 ish.
Comet at that time wanted £199. I see there's an ad for one on Ebay for £55. (refurbished)0 -

Dysons are built by poor men and women in Malaysia, after James sacked the UK workforce. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
