If you have already had one done then don't worry. Simply call them and let them know your still getting reminders it could just be that the engineers have not updated the systems meaning the letters still come out.0

what company they from, npower or anotherDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Has anyone else experienced repeated intimidating emails from npower regarding Gas meter safety inspections even though they have recently had such a visit?
Hi nbrewitt,
If you have already had a gas safety inspection, you shouldn't be receiving any follow up letters.
Can you send me an email with your details to forumresponse@npower.com and I can take a look for you?
Kind regards,

This one has really made my blood boil!
Even after I made the appointment, I was getting threatening emails from Npower. I rang them and they said it can't happen if the appointment is recorded. They checked - and it was - however at the wrong time :-(
When the "reader" turned up, he said that they always left a card if the customer isn't in, thus proving that npower's statement that we tried several times was wrong but also we were on record as requiring an after 6 appointment! So either Loweri Beck are lying or npower have never issued an instruction.
To add insult to injury, the man wouldn't read the electricity meter as it wasn't on his worksheet so will now have to suffer another visit.
You couldn't make it up!

You have now found out that the whole UK energy industry is incompetent, broken and not fit for purpose ........ exactly the same as the regulator who consistently fails to do anything about it (which is probably best as the last thing they "fixed", which wasn't actually broken, has caused significant increase to the bills of many people)0

I got a meter safety email today and as requested phoned on 0845 the firm named Lowri Beck Services who said they knew nothing about me or my address and npower!0

We are OAPs living in the country. We had a call from Lowri Beck saying they were acting on behalf of NPower. They needed us to read our meter now - dusk/dark outside (8pm) and meter outside. The fact we submit our meter readings on line was not enough; they needed our meter reading now to ensure accuracy of our meter.
We gave them a reading just to get them off the phone. NPower said they have not asked Lowri Beck to call for meter readings but they have been commissioned to evaluate meter accuracy. How our one reading does this is a mystery. I just hope they don't get paid as having assessed our meter for accuracy.0 -
Do not EVER provide utility companies with your phone number. Best also to not let them have your email.
If you ever have to ring up a utility company and they don't have an 0800 or other freephone number, use the SayNoTo0870 website to find a freephone number.

When calling utility companies prefix their number with 141 when you dial, so they don't even get to see from which number you are calling them. It would be against data protection principles for them to harvest your number, but who knows that they don't.0 -
