    This is actually incorrect....

OFGEM do not regulate the boiler agreement.
The £20 per missed appointment relates to missed appts concerning engineers coming out to inspect/change meters.

Very valid point, this is why I advised it wasn’t guaranteed as I don’t know if citykid5 gets their supply from n power. Point 12.5 of the boiler service t&c’s states… We require access to the Property to carry out Work. If We cannot gain access to the Property We will contact You to make another appointment. In the event of continued failed attempts to gain access to the Property to undertake any Work, We may make an additional charge to cover our reasonable expenses…. I think if citykid5 were to fire off an email, whilst N power would probably come back with the same initial response as you, it wouldn’t be too difficult to turn point 12.5 of their boiler cover t&c’s back on them. Citykid5 has advised that as there are retired there’s no loss of income because of the failed visits, but at the end of the day that’s not the point…

npower Hometeam........rubbish, rubbish service. Boiler failed overnight on Monday.

24 hour helpline consists of a bloke in his bed with a laptop, who takes your call but doesn't pass it on to anyone.

Engineers too busy to have a same day visit, even when you call them first thing in the morning. Not enough engineers in our area apparently.

Engineer has no parts on him for a common boiler. And its common parts as he had the same parts go on a job last week.

Hometeam do not stock parts, so they need to be couriered from the supplier......oh and as its now gone 3pm, they wont arrive until after the weekend. Why didn't they order the parts before 3pm, as they have had all day to do so.

They are not boiler specialists by any stretch. Not sure what they are good at, if anything.

Well in contracts like this the most vunerable are priority, and sometimes this means appts may have to be recheduled.

Nope. Told them we had two kids with no hot water or central heating, and it didn't make a blind bit of difference to them. I am sure its on the recordings if they would care to listen to them.
