Looking for cheap car hire in Malaga for October.
4 Adults and 2 kids. One in a baby seat so guess it has to have at least 6 seats.(People carrier).
Thought easycar where cheap but these have been one of the dearest so far at £365
Anyone rented in Spain before and reccommend any sites.
Thanks

12pm = midday
example: Pick up car at 11am as flight lands at 9.30am.
Return car 2 weeks later at 1.30pm as fly at 3.30pm you could be charged for an extra day.
Return car before 12pm to keep cost down.0 -
Most car suppliers charge on a real-time clock. i.e. 10 a.m. to 10 a.m., 1 p.m. to 1 p.m., 7 p.m. to 7 p.m., etc.
They will all have their own ideas on 'late returns'. I'm not often late returning cars, but think that up to an hour is 'negotiable'.
Certainly, beyond a reasonable time, all will charge (at least) for an extra day. And probably at the 'daily' rate, rather than the block rate that might have been paid for the original hire.0 -
We used carjet at Malaga, they were excellent, cheapest by far, they hadn't had time to wash the car from the previous hire, so filled it up with petrol as an apology! Also, when we returned it, other well known hire companies were meeting their clients and checking the cars for scratches with a clipboard. Carjet just had the keys off us and said thanks, no hassles at all.0

I have posted quite a few times regarding car hire and recommended a couple of companies I use. I wont name them again here though because you may think they are my company or something!
However what I will say is that at the moment in Malaga airport, the only company I know which do not have an excess are Aurigacrown car hire. They are the actually company who own the cars. They have agents which are always posted on here and to be fair most are good, honest companies. The discount they get from Aurigacrown helps them start a business and they nearly always beat going direct to Aurigacrown. Sometimes they make very little or nothing in order to get the bookings volume up so that at the year end they can negotiate better rates for themselves.
Although please beware that because Aurigacrown offer this "no excess", at the airport the queue can be very long and you sometimes wish you had not bothered! This region of Spain is notorious for accidents and bumps and so stick in there in the queue knowing that once away from the airport, you are covered ( apart from tyres and windscreen). You could have the pick-up at their other spot just outside the airport( free bus) but if you want a free upgrade then the queue awaits you!0 -

Surely 12 pm is midnight.
11pm is 11 at night, therefore 12 pm must be midnight.
11 am is eleven in the morning, an hour later cannot be 12 pm.0 -

I'm surprised at this. Unless things have changed recently, Centauro have no excess and I don't think Europa Goldcar do either. We used carjet at Malaga, they were excellent, cheapest by far, they hadn't had time to wash the car from the previous hire, so filled it up with petrol as an apology! I'm also surprised at this! Are Carjet now actually running their own fleet at Malaga?0
