Sorry- I have to disagree with the replies above.
Not only should you inform the LL of the additional oocupant of the property, but you should have sought permission, in writing, in advance.
This means before conception.
Indeed, since no form of contraceptive is 100% reliable, you should seek written consent before undertaking any activity that could potentially result in an additional occupant.
Surely it depends purely on the terms of the contract, which we don't have sight of?0 -

I have other tenants who have a child (authorised). They are splitting up & she is moving out with the child. He has a new partner moving in.
That leaves the tenancy occupancy one child short.
If the OP's landlord does not approve the new child, I'm sure we could reach an agreement.0
