Morning everyone
Thinking of the soldier's family and friends at this terrible time x
Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
Bright blue sky, sunny and blustery here this morning, not sure about the temperature though as haven't ventured outside yet.
DH up and off to work stupid early.
Dinner last night was casserole, with mash, carrots, broccolli and peas, desserts from the fridge. Tonight will be something quick, possibly pizza and chips for the boys and jacket potato and salad for me, as we're going away tonight so time will be tight. DH will eat once we get on site.
Meeting at the school went ok, lady that I saw seemed to think that DS2 doesn't have Autistic or Aspergers traits and this is more about teenage hormones etc, which I do agree with. She is putting a plan together for us to move forward, it's likely that he will have a key worker assigned to him that he will meet on a daily basis to check on how he's feeling, what's going on to see if we can find out why he has these outbursts of foul language and bad behaviour and give him the tools to be able to cope with them without getting himself into trouble. We'll see.
Today's "to do" list is rather long - will be going shortly to town, the bank, food shopping, then I need to do the ironing, packing, take some stuff to the caravan etc - at least the kids are not at school next week so don't have the pressure of organising their uniforms etc.
Spoke to the company that are fitting the flooring and blinds in the bathroom and everything's arrived so they are coming next week to fit both - then the bathroom will be finished. Yay!
Must now crack on!
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Condolences to the poor boy's family.
I saw that the EDL were out last night and I will stand by my prediction that this will not end well, and the anger is growing. Respect to those women who tried to help, they were really brave.
Not much planned for today so if it brightens up I might get DS to do some bits in the garden for me (I am not allowed until I am all healed, doesn't stop me being a supervisor
) The potatoes need to be banked up and seedlings need thinning, as for weeds :eek:Oh my :eek:but it will stand DS in good stead for when he is older.
halight big ((((((hugs)))))) to you babe, it really gets you down waiting for blooming hospitals to get their finger out.
Right DH is home so must go make him a cuppa
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning all,
Not been on here for a while due to trying to keep things normal whilst visiting my DSis in ICU, organizing things for DH's trip to Vancouver for 2 wks and looking after DGD 2 and DGD3.
OS still achieved ever day but at a slower pace as I keep getting distracted, the old "walk into a room and forgetting what I went in there for"
BM pinged and WM finished. Duck breasts out of the freezer for dinner to go with saddleback baked potatoes and salad for dinner.
I found some frozen summer fruits whilst rummaging, DH said he'd like a fruit crumble for pud.
The wind has dropped so I'll get out and do some weeding.
Sorry I'm way behind on here so I'll send hugs to all and paw hugs to LAMEWOLF, as I know you don't do human ones.

to all our old OS friends lurking out there, together with all newbies, and anyone else reading, pop in and say hello.
Hello everyone

Good morning all, I don't post lately but I do read every single day and I am just popping in to say hello to LW and to give very gentle hugs. I would really miss your posts and your doggy tales, please keep them coming, every day, do you hear me? :A Do you remember you sent positive vibes to my girl Ivy, well she is still as stroppy as ever, :rotfl:for a poorly girl, whom the vet thought would not last the night, well 3 months later and she is still giving me grief, but I welcome it every day...:TLW Please take care of yourself, an awful lot of people would miss you here. And Halight, I really hope the hospital get their finger out soon and sort you out, you have been so patient with them, I just don't know how you do it. JO, your lovely family have had a narrow escape, I got rid of my DW a few months ago, couldn't afford to replace it when it broke, but I will not be leaving on the WS again when we are out or in bed, just in case. Someone else here had a op on their toe? Sorry, I can't remember who, but I know the pain, I had a very tiny op a few years ago and the injectins was the worse bit, the pain was awful. MM, I hope the tummy sorts itself soon, nothing worse when you are feeling so delicate. My heart goes out to the family of that poor soldier yesterday, what is the world coming to??? I shudder when I think of my grandchildren growing up in this society, I really do. Hugs, spoons and high fives to everyone else, I am sorry, I can't remember the rest of what I just read. I will make more of an effort to post, but as usual, life gets in the way.
Have a good day all, whatever you have to do or whatever decide to do with it.
CaitCait, at long last signing on:rotfl:0 -

Thread title: OS Daily - Thursday 23rd April 2013
Please tell me I don't have to relive the last month!:D:D:D
I've had Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (as opposed to Computer Based Training lol) in the past, and I actually found it made things 10 times worse; the main problem being that I have a very hard time trusting people, and I certainly didn't trust the therapist!:eek::eek::eek::eek:LameWolf
I'm Under the pain clinic too, Have been since 2002.
Thay tried Me with amytriptilene, quite a few years ago now.
I was only on it for 3 days and I felt Like I was dieing! No joking
As for CBT Iv never been offered It.
If they did I don't know how Id feel about doing it.
In one way I don't think its for me.
But In another way, I do have an open mind about things and I am willing to try things, And at the end of the day if anything helps then that's only a good thing.
So if I ever did get offered it I think id have to have a good think about it.
Cait I'm so glad to hear that Ivy is still going strong; I remember how worried you were, and how poorly she was.
I am deeply upset at the cruel and pointless death of the young soldier. It kind of validates why I feel more at ease with dogs than with people. It was just chance that I heard about it on the news this morning (usually I don't have my hearing aid in when the news comes on so miss it). But honestly, words just fail me.:(
Today's doggy update, for those who like them: Dave didn't want much to eat yesterday - he's like that, some days he doesn't bother, other days he's hungry - anyways, today he's put away a good helping of chicken, so I'm going to have to dice up some more (his owners sent "lots of plenty" of it, as Mr LW's Dad would've said.;) )
I think I'll put his little coat on him for walkies later, too, as we just had a hailstorm! Weather notwithstanding, he'll still want an hour's walk this afternoon.:o
My mobility buggy's on the blink, too, just to keep life ...er...interesting. Looks like being the battery contacts; unfortunately the chap can't come and service it til 17th June; also it's quite old, and that model isn't made any more, so parts are not easy to get. I may have to look at replacing it.:( Still, as long as it lasts out for Bailey & Cassie's visit, 1st to 10th June, we'll be ok. I'm managing by tucking my right foot round and pushing the battery down in its seating with my heel; but it's not ideal, and certainly not doing my knee any good doing that.
I have another booking, Ted from, 24th June to 2nd July, but he gets his exercise in the garden, as he can't be around other dogs under any circumstances, so I won't need the buggy for his stay, so I can look for a replacement pretty much at leisure, if that's what I need to do.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Evening all,
Another busy day and not a chance to sit down. It's been so cold here in the North West. It honestly felt like November instead of may. Just took my face off to have a hot bath and youngest DS informs me his latest squeeze is popping round tonight for the first time:eek: oh well she will have to take me as she finds me. If we never see her again we will know why lol
My little fledgling business has taken a step forward today so fingers crossed it will begin to develop and I can actually start earning from it soon.
Bit fed up waiting for this leg op, two weeks yesterday, but least I have a date. Halight let's hope the doc can work his magic and get you in quickly.
My new boiler is being fitted on Tuesday next week, thank goodness:D
So sad to hear about the soldier yesterday, what a wicked world we live in sometimes.
Our friend who I mentioned last week who died from Motor Neurones is to be buried next Wednesday. I shall just go to the service to pay my respects.
Lateish tea tonight with fish and salad I'm trying my best to eat healthily.
Not much else going on, picked up a cheap ball of wool today so shall crochet another beanie tonight for winter or maybe next week if the weather doesn't improve. Take care all J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
