Phones 4 U & Vodafone - signing a contract over to someone else

Basically my brother has taken out a contract for his girlfriend as she's 17 & apparently this isn't old enough.
It's a 2 year contract. She turns 18 in November i believe.
Basically
1) how do they go about finding out IF they can sign the contract over to her? Do they see Phones 4 U or Vodafone?
2) If they can, what's the process? How do they do it? What's needed for it?

It's Vodafone that they deal with.
However, it's not that simple as she has to pass the credit check to be allowed to take the contract over. This is provided that she is still around in November and wishes to take the contract over.0 -
So basically they'd just go into the local Vodafone shop & tell them what they want to do & assuming she passes the checks, they should be able to do it there & then? Correct?0

Probably have to call customer service. However I half remembered Orange were the only network that would allow contacts to be moved to other people.0 -
Reportedly, they even have some "transfer of ownership team"0

Phone Vodafone customer service and they will put you through to transfer of ownership. The account will need to have its bills paid up to date and they also ask for a number of payments to be made in full and on time, they ask for the last three but there may be some flexibility on this if the rest of the payment history is good. Your brother's gf will also have to pass a credit check as Grumbler said.0
