Storing A Mobile Phone

I don't see any point in removing the sim.
Re the battery it depends on how long you are going to store it. Regardless, removing it cannot do any harm.0 -
Couple of things to watch, unused SIM cards generally are removed from the network after a few months. It's usually easy to put another pay as you go SIM in when you want to re-use the phone, so no real need to make regular top ups or make calls with it.
Most phones use lithium batteries which are best kept charged up, if they go completely flat they are usually a write off.
Other than charging the battery once a month or so, and perhaps making the odd call to keep the SIM active, just keep it in a dry place.0 -
Apparently the best way to store a Lithium battery is to run it down to about 40% then unplug it. No idea why!0
