TiVo or Freeview
Budgeter
I'm currently spending around £35 per month on my mobile, around £30 on broadband and landline and around £65 on Sky plus. A total of £125 PER MONTH. My partner and I are separating and so I'm looking to cut costs. Virgin Media look like the best option with a TiVO, phone and broadband for £9 for 6 months and £14.99 line rental, they also do a reasonable phone deal for £18.99, thus consolidating my current £125 down to £42.98 per month. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to how I could further reduce with a better deal or views on TiVo versus Freeview? Thanks

Freeview is free, do you want/need subscription TV? You could buy a Youview box is you want a PVR and catch up channels with no subscription.( Does require an Internet connection and an aerial)That gum you like is coming back in style.0

personally, i make do with freeview and just watch whatever online, i just dont find that there is much tv worth watching never mind paying for.My Signature is MY OWN!!0

You are not comparing like with like - one is a PVR, the other is a basket of free to view TV channels. If you don't need a PVR, don't get one.
The VM BB is excellent, so use this as your viewing and comms outlet, and VOIP for calls at cheaper rates than VM offer - true, you won't get the big discounts, but you sure save a lot of money.0 -
the classic collection is like getting the use of a tivo for free.
you can get 30meg broadband only from virgin for 22.50.0
