Are you kidding me Samsung. You refuse to fix my dead phone under warranty as the screen is cracked. Your having a laugh.

Just got the phone back, and if I could post the image I've just taken I would. But if you want to see how embarrassed samsung should be then check out my twitter

Surely the screen has to come off to repair the fone,if its cracked the screen will just splinter into pieces, thus requiring a new screen.

No, the screen assembly is one unit, even if the digitiser was completely shattered it would still remain as a single unit.

I've given up with even trying. Just promised myself never to get samsung again.

It's a catch 22. Pay to fix the screen, then we will fix the warranty issue. If we can't fix the warranty issue, then we will replace the phone. But you can't have a refund on the new screen!

Do you really think it will be different with any other manufacturer?

As Grumbler says, why do you think you would have a different outcome with another manufacturer?

If you put a phone in a Jiffy bag and dump it in the post it's inevitable that damage will ensue, any reasonable person should realise that.

Next time, pack it properly, bubble wrap and card, in a box, and the box in a Jiffy bag and it would get there in one piece. Unfortunately, the responsibility rests with you, it's isn't Samsung's fault, it isn't RM's fault, it was your poor packaging.

Your only other alternative in the future would be to buy an iPhone and you can get walk in service without having to post it away.
