Broardband only - searching help please!

I have [almost installed] BT Basics package as its the cheapest way to get a land line to run broadband over (£14.94 per quarter) for line rental and a couple of pounds worth of calls). Now looking for broadband deal

I'm on a very low income, cant do the pay up front packages to get the really good deals. I rarely make calls, but the internet is my lifeline (I'm disabled, so use it for shopping and keeping in touch)

Looking to run broadband over the BT basics. With Plusnet at the me, no contract, as I was with them before going to BT. They are now charging £7.99 a month for the broadband.

Used MSE and Money Supermarket to look for deals, but noe getting much choice back. There seems to be a total lack of broardband only offers at the moment, and only the main big companies are showing up and the deals are not that good

BT Basic with separate ISP was the cheapest way to do it when I signed up, but true to form, BT have made numerous !!!! ups and am still waiting for BT Basics to be connected. So the cheapy broadband deals have now disappeared! I'm happy to move from them for an inclusive package if its cheap enough (when BT sorted out, it will cost BT £4.95 line rental a month, Plusnet £7.99 a month)

Thanks for the help, I'm not dead savvy with internet and things like this

Are you allowed to go elsewhere for the bb when you have bt basic line rental?

Used to be you could only have a bt bb service. Has this changed?

Yes, you can take your broadband from any provider you wish who offers a standalone contract.
Plusnet Essentials is likely to be the cheapest non-LLU deal. It's £5.99 on a non-Market 1 exchange, not £7.99. Don't forget the cashbacks available at sign up.
