credit report

Hi
I have recently done a noddle credit report after being refused a santander loan who i have been with for the past 22 years. it came back all clear with a score of 4 out of 5, i have a credit card 2 mobiles (all paid and up to date) and i am on the electrol role, the only thing on the report was that i have done alot of car insurance quotes as i have just purchased a new car, would this hinder my chance of a loan?

    What is your salary?
How much was the loan for?
How did you purchase the car and what was the total amount?

Answers to these three questions, not the Noddle score, will give the answer.

To Op, see The Boss's signature, each lender will have their own criteria for lending, which may be influenced by the CRA's reports

are you sure you have all previous adresses on your report? this could have an adverse effect i.e if you had a loan at a previous adress.

Been in that situation and adding all adresses reduced my rating significantly and took an age to repair but at least I knew where I was

I'll eat my hat if it is somethng relevant to what's on (or not on) the credit report

How do you mean? I had a loan at a previous adress that had missed payments etc this wasn't on my credit report as I wasn't on the voters register at that adress - so my report looked pretty good. When I added the relevent adress the report then showed poor payment history which in tern affected my score.

need some ketchup with that hat?:rotfl:but seriously, surely correct adress details can play a part in your report?

Ths is a noddle report and they likely checked either Experian or Equifax anyway. There's a lot more to how Santander would have scored the OP than the score any CRA would give.

You could check with a price comparison website to see the likely chances of approval?

So looks like a profitability issue meant you were not scored highly enough by them. On your salary that £6k could be repaid within a few months.

Just a shame it wasn't the other way around - you got the car on finance and used the cash for what you need the loan for.
