Bought 16 GB tablet as advertised but received 8 GB tablet.

I ordered 3x 16 GB tablets and received 3x 8 GB tablets instead. Company said there was a mistake. As all confirmation and payment receipts from company state items as 16 GB tablets, can I insist that the company supply what was ordered ie the 16 GB tablets. I do not want a refund - just what I ordered.

Please can someone help me :mad:

Wait a minute. Is the memory inside it 8GB or is the available memory left after everything to run the tablet on is 8GB?

They'll just refund and request the items back.
It was a mistake, they happen.
Have fun trying to force them to give you the 16GB items if they've said it was a mistake, you're unlikely to get very far.

You may have a problem if what you ordered doesn't exist, does the particular brand and model you chose have an 8gb and 16gb version?

Do the tablets have micro sd card slots? If so it may be worth asking them to send you three 8gb cards to make them up to 16gb or if you buy the cards ask if they'll reimburse you.

If they are standard android devices having things saved on the micro sd won't make a difference.

Can you answer this, OP? Have you checked the tablet and found it to have less memory than you're expecting or have you been sent the smaller version, i.e. the packaging says 8GB?

If the former, then there's little you can do. There's so much bloatware on smart devices that the available memory for apps is much reduced from the advertised size. It's possibly an issue for trading standards but there's not much the individual consumer can do.

If the latter, than of course you should complain. They've sent you the wrong item and you're entitled to the 16GB version. Having said that if you actually paid for the 8GB version, be prepared for your order to be refunded and to have to reorder the largest version, i.e. you might end up paying more.

It's currently under 9 hours since they posted. Perhaps they have had sleep, or even other things to do in the meantime.
