...if you meet the new requirements which come into effect soon:
Between 1 June and 31 July 2013, eBay Top-rated sellers will be credited with an additional 5% final value fee discount on top of their existing final value fee discount when they meet the following new eBay Top-rated seller requirements for each eligible listing:
• A minimum returns period of 14 calendar days
• 1-day or same-day dispatch
• An express delivery option offering delivery within 1 day
• A free domestic postage option
Is Ebay trying to see how many people are going to be taking this up?

Well I certainly won't be jumping through hoops to comply.
I have two TRS accounts with feedback totalling over 7500 and 100 % feedback and will be losing my TRS status on both when the new requirements come into play.You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Me neither but it won't take too much to comply so I'll take the extra discount.charlies_mum wrote: »Well I certainly won't be jumping through hoops to comply..0 -
Isn't 15% what I had before it was taken down to 10%

I will see if it's feasible but the freepost just isn't going to be possible on many of my items...0 -
Some maths for you all:
x = item price
y = P&P price
Without TRS discount on FVF:
FVF = 10%*x
With TRS discount:
FVF = 8.5%*x + 8.5%y (since now charged on both)
So it is only worth having TRS discount where the FVF are lower in the second case ie
0.085x + 0.085y < 0.1x
or
0.085y < 0.015x
or
y < 0.015/0.085x
or
postage price is less than 18% of the item cost.
So if you are selling something at say £20 + £5P&P then you are better off charging for P&P and not having the TRS discount - unless you can achieve a better overall price by offering a "free" service of course. Or making the "free" service particularly unattractive. But then we all know that buyers never change the default postage option.
Anyone want to check my maths?

my main question is what time is the cut off for "1-day dispatch"
i.e order comes through at 7pm Monday, is 1-day dispatch still Tuesday? how about an order at 11:50 pm?
especially worse on Friday and Saturdays, i.e is a late Friday order still got to be sent on Saturday?
and "An express delivery option offering delivery within 1 day", so lets take special delivery as the RM option.
if an order comes through late on Thursday do you have to pay the extra for "Saturday Guarantee"? with postage on Friday?if i had known then what i know now0 -

Maths is beyond me, but you may also miss out on sales by losing the best match boost TRS gives.0 -
I cannot do guaranteed next day delivery, regardless of cut off time as I do still get some freelance work a 3-4 hour drive away and have to leave by 6am in the morning. I am not getting up earlier just to wrap things.
On theTRS board it was suggested that sellers like me keep a free post option , plus add a stupidly priced one for guaranteed next day and gamble that no one opts for it. I am not sure though about the 1 day despatch as for instance if I log off now and then sell something, could I send it Thursday now and still be within my 1 day despatch or would It have to go tomorrow?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No. The express delivery time is considered in addition to your handling time which can be either 0 or 1 day. This makes the total time a maximum of 2 days.If I offer express delivery do I need to complete handling and post the item within the 1-day limit?0
