work programme Mandatory during esa appeal?

Just stop going to work program then, or tell your work program provider that you are no longer on JSA they will tell you to stop coming quick as a flash. They won't get paid for you so they won't carry you any further.
BTW there are always advisors in JC you can speak to. You can speak to your old JSA advisor (probably the best person to speak to) or ask for an ESA advisor.
i know there are advisors and i appreciate your input.
My work programme advisor knows full well that i am on ESA, as they have for months. They have not told me to 'stop comming quick as a flash'.
All they said was' we will not force you to get a job' and i thought well gee thanks lol, thats nice of you since i am signed off by my GP, i cannot work anyway.
They did tell me that i am to attend every fortnight else i will be sanctioned though.
Sanctioned from my basic rate sickness benefit? wow.0 -
just to be clear, there is no confusion with me and my wp advisor over what benefit i am receiving, i have been on assessment phase esa for over 20 weeks( just recently did i recieive a decision that i was found fit for work by my medical which is bs)
my gripe is that its a waste of time and also that due to the appeal i have lodged i am under the understanding that i am not supposed to be subjected to it but for whatever reason i still am, they are breaking their own rules and regulations.0 -
The abysmal Work Programme. Authorities were told from the beginning they would be wasting Taxpayers' money again , but hey , look at who has made money from it and guess who got the Backhanders.
I asked who ? Who ? Who ? Nearly 2 hours ago !
No reply so presuming you have no answer to this BS you keep spouting off about ?"Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."
''Money can't buy you happiness but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.''0 -
sorry, I thought you were appealing against a decision to put you into the WRAG, hence the advice I gave. As you were found 'fit for work' you should not be attending WFIs or Work Program appointments.
I think the problem is that you did not complete the Work Program placement when you were on JSA and your name has come up now that you are on benefits again. I have heard of this happening to people who are back on JSA and I have also heard that the WP providers don't seem to understand about ESA and treat people on it just the same as those on JSA.
I'm afraid that I really don't know what to suggest!0 -

I thought the op was'nt on JSA anymore and that is the issue...??0 -
You need to ask someone at your local JCP to send a WP07 to your Work Programme provider which will show that you have moved from mandatory participation to voluntary due to the fact that you are appealing the decision of being found fit for work. Hope this helps

yes i also think this is the problem, this whole thing is a mistake carried over from a different set of circumstances in the first place.

Just stop going, if you don't want to.
They can't sanction an ESA appeal rate.0
