Scotland's economic growth has been held back by Westminster, says a "report" by the Scottish "Government".
Of course there's no way to prove a claim like this, it's entirely subjective.
In any case, the UK Government has every right to do that, if it considers that other regions of the UK should take priority. Scotland's elected representatives in the UK Government and Parliament would of course be full participants in any such decision.
And it's not Holyrood's job to critique the UK Government. Holyrood has no sovereignty. It's an agency of the UK Government whose powers and responsibilities are those devolved to it by the UK Government, and only those.
Isn't it time something was done to stop the budget and machinery of Holyrood being abused to propagandise for the SNP?

"It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis

I try and ignore Salmon and Sturgeon to be honest. They just wind me up with their lies otherwise.
If the Scots dont vote for independence, I think the Scottish parliament and the Welsh Assembly should be dissolved. We are one country and so should have one government - the UK government. Local decisions get made by the local councils and that should be as far as devolved powers go. Devolution of powers just makes it all complicated and raises issues such as the West Lothian question and the Barnett formula.
If Scotland do get independence, does that mean we split the national debt using the Barnett formula and the Scotland will pay for the mess that is RBS to the (remaining) UK?0

That's the joy of democracy: the wrong bloke always gets in.
If Scots don't want this twaddle produced with their money then they should vote differently.
If there's ever a blue moon in a month of Sundays they might even get a Tory Government which might cure them of this rubbish. Or not of course.0

Best that Scotland can hope for is the TSB (Lloyds sell off ) is rebased. RBS is now an English bank with its head office very much in London. Run by Englishmen as well.Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) is to cut a further 1,400 jobs from its retail banking head office over the next two years.
Most of the job losses are expected to be at RBS's offices in Edinburgh. RBS said no customer-facing staff would be affecte

 - if only Westminster hadn't held us back
 - if only turncoat Gordon had not sold our Gold for pennies
 - if only Hadrian had employed some decent brickies
 - if only we kept house prices cheap, no credit boom shenannigans

lol, time to re-post the trusty joke again: -Three guys, one Irish, one English and one Scottish, are out walking along the beach together one day. They come across a lantern and a Genie pops out of it.
"I will give you each one wish, that's three wishes in total", says the Genie.
The Irish guy says, "I am a fisherman, my Dad's a fisherman, his Dad was a fisherman and my son will be one too. I want all the oceans full of fish for all eternity." So, with a blink of the Genie's eye "FOOM" the oceans were teaming with fish.
The English guy was amazed, so he said, "I want a wall around England, protecting her, so that nothing will get in for all eternity. Again, with a blink of the Genie's eye "!!!!!!" there was a huge wall around England.
The Scot asks, "I'm very curious. Please tell me more about this wall." The Genie explains, "Well, it's about 150 feet high, 50 feet thick, protecting England so that nothing can get in or out." The Scot says, "Fill it up with water.":wall:

You would agree that the increase in support for UKIP is linked to the dissolution with the three main Westminster parties.
For many Scots, we realised this far earlier.
That is one comparative factor between UKIP and SNP.
The SNP have been around far longer than UKIP, so if there was to be any comparison between the two, you would have to state that UKIP are similar to the SNP, however.....
With regards to the remainder of the policies, in what ways are UKIP and SNP similar?:wall:

 That's a tricky one.
The word "independence" might be a clue. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

And a desire to increase immigration and remain in Europe.
But other than that....:)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
