WARNING: Holiday Autos Car Hire; Heraklion Airport, Crete

We're just back from a great holiday in Crete, but wanted to warn MoneySavingExpert.Com users to avoid using Holiday Autos at Heraklion. We were supplied with a car which had a loose windscreen wiper blade (as we discovered to our cost during a rainstorm). This was on top of the fact that shortly after booking our car hire with Holiday Autos we were the victims of Credit Card fraud. Their payment system isn't Verified by Visa, and it seems someone, somewhere got our details as a result.

Holiday Auto's is a broker and the supply of cars will be from car rental company. They may have contracts with one or more rental companies at a location.

A loose wiper blade could in fairness happen to any car.

As for the reported credit card fraud, are you 100% certain that it was Holiday Autos that are to blame? If 100% sure then you need to speak to your credit card company for them to investigate, telling them why you think it so and perhaps also let HA know of your suspicions.

I've used them umpteen times over the last 10 years and never had problem. Are you 100% certain that the credit card fraud arose from them. I have always had great service from them and have recommedned them to friends and family.

Just think how you can entertain future generations of your family with this near death experience.

Do not use Asda in Edinburgh. Some milk was spilled and I nearly slipped.
If I had slipped I might have hurt myself. Fortunately I didnt slip so I am ok. But I thought i had better warn people, just in case the same thing happens again.
    YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
