I have a Lenovo laptop where the original program is hopelessly corrupted.
Can someone please explain how I can download a Linux OS to disc on my PC that I can use to boot the laptop, I don,t really understand the instructions I see and I don't want my PC to be changed.
Thanks to anyone that answers.

You need to download the .iso file and then burn onto a DVD or USB drive. Details here
When you have done this you can then use the DVD or USB drive to boot into Linux on your laptop without making any changes to your PC or laptop i.e. installation is not necessary. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
