That's link for top and we there for day and evening
I am not that comfortable in 'posh dress'.
How about your top with some black linen trousers (or linen mix that creases less), purple shoes and purple bag.....or sparkly shoes that match your sparkly bag you like. You could get a purple fascinator for your hair and make sure your earrings tie in too (purple/black or simple silver). White trousers might work too but then you might worry all day about marks on them! I love purple! Best of luck.
PS I got a red fascinator in Marks and Spencer- they might have something, or Debenhams seems to have loads:

If you have a British heart foundation near you, they'd be worth a look for a fascinator, as they sell new ones for around the £5- £6 mark iirc.
If you'd rather use a pair of back shoes that you already have, a purple hair flower/decoration/clip-on earring if you can still get those? on each could quickly and easily make them look like 'occasion' shoes, bought for the outfit. I remember seeing 'shoe clips' on etsy or the like when I was looking for bridesmaid shoes. They were much more expensive, but basically that's all they were. I know it probably sounds terrible, but with the right decoration can actually work really well, honest!0 -
I also love that spotty Next dress, i'm trying to think of a reason to justify buying it !!! x0

Agreed with above forums discussions, instead of that you can try something like gown or similar to that.0
