That's a nice top. Agree that leggings aren't appropriate for a wedding. I think a nice smart pair of black trousers with it, and with some strappy shoes would glam it up, ideally with some purple in them I think.0

Ooh yes, metallic purple spangly sandals and a bag to match Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 and a bag to match Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

You might also think about a pashima or wrap to cover your arms during the service if it's in a church.Plus for warmth!
I agree though, not leggings. Wide leg black trousers and strappy sandles would dress the top up nicely. I always take two pairs of shoes to a full day event, changing them half way through can really help with sore feet.Val.0

That top with black trousers would be lovely, and I wouldn't worry about too much black. These days it's less of an issue and several guests at my wedding wore outfits that were far more black than yours would be0

Saw this today and if I was going to a wedding would get it.
I never wear dresses but I wore one from Next to a wedding last September.

I have a little cardi like someone linked too further up the thread. Wil see if I can find some purple ones but if not then black shoes it is. Must try on my black trousers as I haven't worn them for a long time.
Thank you for all the help. I'm not good with evening and formal wear as I feel awkward in it. For my sisters wedding I wore a maxi dress and hated itHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

That is gorgeous! We have a wedding to go to in August, if they did it in a petite fit & had a size 12, I'd probably have bought it.0
