If anyone has wondered about placing an order with CarParts4Less, this is my experience.

I ordered some parts on Friday afternoon using the free 2-4 day delivery option, received an e-mail later stating that the payment had been taken. Parts arrived today (Monday) at noon exactly as ordered, very well packaged, delivered by Yodel.

I normally get parts from local motor factors but the prices for these parts was far less and the service could not be faulted.

I've ordered from CP4L and ECP and on all occasions they have left my parcel in my safe place when I've been out rather than taking it back to the depot.

Ordered loads from both, Keep an eye out for the discount codes via their facebooks pages.
Euro Car Parts are the same company but due to having stores which you can collect from obviously have more overheads so more expensive.

cp4less is the same company and supply chain but without the advertising, designed for money savers like us who will search the internet though the nth degree to find a bargain.

They dont advertise and spread by word of mouth so lower overheads.

There is a real problem brewing with companies like ecp. They are drilling down into the consumer market as well as trying to service the trade and guess what, their lack of expertise is tripping them up. We do not, in any circumstances use ecp anymore. Doesn't matter if they can guarantee getting here within the hour, because far too often, and remember these guys are getting either VIN or index information, the part, even for high volume items, is wrong.
Meanwhile the local factors (who universally welcome all, even non-trade and they are cheaper and more knowledgeable by a mile) are beginning to shut up shop. Just remember what the superstores did to the High Street. Use your local factor or lose it.

And pay through the nose for the privileged. I think not

Ive had this with ECP, ordered discs for a Hyundai i10, got the discs and upon changing them on sunday morning (had to put the new pads on with the old discs as they had supplied the wrong discs - they ones they supplied were about 10mm bigger than we had fitted on the car from new!). Took back for a full refund without any quibbles... glad I didn't buy the pads from them (they were dearer by about £7 for the pads than our local car shop who were dearer on the discs).

Went to get the pads from our local car shop (the always ask if they look the right item - which I didn't have a clue - he looked and said that they aren't the right pads and duly ordered another set of pads in for the following day and they were the correct pads (obviously had the wrong pads in the correct box on the first set he had!). Always try to use our local car shop for bits if I can (sometimes they are cheaper than ECP/CP4L and il only use ECP/CP4L if they are significantly cheaper than our local car shop on the part I need....).

Local indie motor factors don't have everything in stock though and usually have to wait 24-48 hours for them to get the stuff in.

Same goes for indie computer parts shops. Never have what you want in so end up ordering online from eBuyer, Aria, etc.

    Essentially they are 'online only'

Eurocarparts have stores where you can collect and return goods. CarParts4LEss do not have that network, hence the reduction in price but greater difficulties if things don't work out.

    For example:
    delivered by Yodel

This may be the first actual case of anything actually being delivered, let alone on time, by Yodel.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

Just to prevent confusion, a motor factor is one that has high volume and range of stock and little in the way of customer comforts; not the car shops that are big on retail space and short on stock and knowledge.
