Using MSE's 50% off Sky code

Hi all, was just wondering if anybody else had issues with using the 50% off Sky code advertised recently on MSE.

We used it to order the full Sky package of tv, movies, sport, hd pack and 3d, for half price and getting it installed at the end of May.

However, we have since received our welcome pack and card from Sky which clearly shows us as just being on the basic entertainment package!

We have checked online on our new My Sky account page and it too clearly shows us being on the basic entertainment package.

So, we sent an email to Sky to ask if that was a mistake and if we would be on the proper ordered package from when we activate our card.

However, we got told by Sky that we are in fact just on the basic entertainment package and they hare happy to talk to us to discuss upgrading to the other packages, obvious at a cost to us.

But as I have saved the order page which clearly shows our order showing the 50% off code for a year on the order we will be getting in contact with Sky again to see if they will honor the original order.

If they don't honor it, then are we right in thinking that if we don't activate the card and have Sky installed when the engineer comes round then we won't be charged anything.

You can cancel the installation completely prior to the date and of course you won't be charged.
I think you need to correspond with someone in person to clarify your situation.
Have your order to hand when you call.

50% off for 12 month offers are transferable, so they apply to whatever package you take for the 12 months. Just call and upgrade or do it through red button when service is installed.

I purchased sky using the 50% off code and added entertainment extra yesterday to my package (already have movies and broadband etc), and i got that for £2.50 instead of the usual £5p/m so i'd defo call them and explain your initial order was with the 50% code....:money:
