Sue council for lack of planning enforcement?

In 99.999% of claims you can't,i only know of one who has managed to do it,Mr V from here!If it's a genuine non fault claim (which I would expect it to be as long as the cars are parked correctly) then any increase in premium can also be recovered from the third party or their insurer.0 -

Yes agreed, I've heard of being able to claim back as it will affect you for up to 5 years but again no one who has actually done and how.
Remember the insurance companies are not there to help you but to help their share holders. If freedom is outlawed, only outlaws will have freedom.0 -
This must be annoying for the OP, but I don't understand how the business can actually stop motorists driving into a public road. They can request that another entrance be used but they can't physically stop them carrying out a legal activity.
Again with planning permission, I would be interested to know the actual wording used."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

They could just lock the offending entrance. There appear to be two. This must be annoying for the OP, but I don't understand how the business can actually stop motorists driving into a public road. whilst it might be worth a shot contacting the business directly - the likelyhood is they won't do much about it and just blame the individuals,
however they will be well aware if there is a planning condition restricting the use of an entrance and the only people that can enforce it is the local authority - If they put this condition on it, there must be an alternative access which is suitable (to the planners)
again, would be interesting to see the wording of a condition like thisThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

They absolutely can revoke the permission. My childminder was threatened with this for annoying the neighbours (although there were no conditions attached to their PP about parking - the neighbours were just annoyed at the kids being around...). We were then told by CM that if we parked anywhere except 2 specific places (on a public highway, so technically we could park anywhere), they would give us notice for putting their business at risk.0

This problem appears to be very different to the OPs.
Who is "they" who revoked the permission? There was no conditions attached to the Planning Permission, which , in any case would not apply to a child-minder using their own house.
Who "threatened" her?
The child-minder was possibly just trying to keep the NIMBYists happy! by asking working parents to just drop the children off in a certain area.
It really would be helpful if the OP would return and let us know the conditions of the Planning Permission."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Thanks. Looks like good advice. What happens if there is a fire or an emergency (God forbid)?"If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

The neighbour made a complaint to the council. The planning department sent an officer round and they said that if the situation didn't improve that there could be problems renewing their planning permission to run a business from home. I believe it has to be renewed periodically. The designated spaces were mediated by the planning official as acceptable.0
