Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thanks to Natty for last weeks thread
New style this week depending on how much time and motivation you have. The idea is that even if you are really busy you don't need to fall off the wagon!
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Thanks for the new thread, Dusty, and also to Natty for last week's.
I shall be doing just enough flying to keep the house looking tidy, whilst messing it up again with packing cases everywhere, so the 15/30/60 minute style list is ideal for me this week.
It's nice to meet so many new people on the thread!
Valli, our gooseberry cake has all gone now. Did you try the rhubarb version?
Glad to hear that you're back home in one piece, Pigpen.
FFP, I'll be thinking of your OH tomorrow. Hope all goes well.
Hope everyone has a good week.0 -

Thanks for the lists this week Dusty and Natty for last weeks.
I'm in again this week. Have decided to decorate the sunroom before the new flooring is fitted so need to give it a good clean (and remove the mould _pale_ , have worked out a way to stop the rot too) and then I can start to paint it. I need to ensure that the house is in tip top condition so I spend the bank holiday weekend painting!
Have a great week all

ps HB I lost 2 elderly cats last September (I had 4) I got mental kitten in October, she's not a replacement for the 2 oldies (they were irreplaceable) but it helped me with the loss, if that makes sense? Do what's best for you.0 -
Thanks for the new list Dusty. I like the minutes slots!
Manic day here, 3 football matches for DS2. 14 for lunch. 3 birthdays celebrated DS2, and my nephew who was born on DS2's birthday last year and DD1's NB (Nice Boyfriend).
I've just done HHI after putting thoroughly overexcited DS3 and DD2 to bed.
DH has been on the vino since 3pm and has been as much use as a chocolate teapot.
A good day really!0 -

I did a rhubarb and whitecurrant one this evening, voted yummy by OH and his mum. Non-wheat flour worked fine, although whether it was that or the aga, it only took 45 mins to cook. Thanks for sharing the recipe.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
I am in again this week, thank you for the list Dusty, I like the idea of minutes
Thanks again0 -
Also talked weddings with DH's eldest daughter and her beau. Very excited for October. DD1 and DD2 are bridesmaids to their big sister. DH is excited about buying himself a new suit! I think that's the wine talking again!0
