Vodafone nightmare

In the past 4 weeks my Samsung Galaxy S3 has been posted back to Vodafone as many times - the first 3 occasions was to try and resolve an issue with the handset freezing. when they agreed that they could not resolve the problem they sent me another refurbished handset, but this has issues connecting to any wifi. I have contacted Vodafone again and once again I am told to post the phone back. This will now be 5 weeks without a phone (they don't offer a loan phone) and I have no confidence that they will repair it this time. Does anyone know if I can get out of my contract early due to the fact that my phone is unfit for purpose? I have really lost my patience with Vodafone and am getting no-where.
Thanks
Martin

Early S3's seem to have this as a known issue. A colleague gave up with his provider and went to Samsung direct.

You could pursue getting out of your contract but you'll be without your phone for even longer while you sort it out!

Write a polite, to the point letter detailing your issues and request your money back for contract charges whilst your phone has been unavailable - it worked for my colleague

Thanks flashg67 - I have already contacted Samsung direct and they have offered to fix the phone - but still with no loan handset - I think my next option is to contact Ofcom

Ofcom wont care one bit about your phone which developed a fault and will be unable to give you any advise or assistance, they are a service regulator and do not deal with individual enquiries.

The phone and contract are separate and even if your phone does not work, you are still able to use your SIM in any other phone.

As you have now contacted Samsung direct, you will get a much better and quicker repair service.

    Hi Martin,

I'm sorry to see that you're not having the best of times with us.

If you'd like me to look into things further could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?

All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it will take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?

Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?

    Kind regards,
